Oh and ive been using the font anyway since OMG Ubuntu pulled it from the .pdf files it was embedded into. It does look great in the interface. 07.07.10 Dieki wrote,. Can someone post a screenshot of how the font looks at various sizes? . That will be beyond-the-pale-fugly. Unusably fugly. Installing Ubuntu will require changing the font immediately upon installing. If the default font is serif and proprietary I'll prolly ditch Ubuntu and go back to Fedora.
design.canonical.com/2010/07/the-ubuntu-font/I like the default background. Have the fonts improved? Fonts have always looked bad on Linux distros I've used in the past, but the Ubuntu font seems to be pretty clear. Why is the window close button in the top left? Every OMG. Why is it so hard to change anything on the menu bar? To move anything I have to right click every single icon on the menu bar and uncheck “Lock to Panel”. Then I need to specifically select the Move option to be able to move the icon.

I must say, I'm deeply impressed you're taking time to individually respond to every last non QQ about 64-bit post here (A lesser man would have created a spam filter by now, Windowless mode works great, unfortunately it's now skipping frames and exhibiting other bizzare behavior on things as simple as YouTube videos, I may migrate back to 9.0 at this point.

Ubuntu users currently have to rely more on blogs and other sources for locating new software. Banshee, Tomboy, etc. are felt throughout all GNOME distributions, just as Fedora's upstream contributions are. openSUSE strikes a nice balance between carving its own identity, but giving back to the community that makes its existence possible.
